वे क्षत्रिय उस समय नेत्रों की ज्योति से वंचित हो गए थे और बुझी हुई ज्वालाओं वाली अग्नि के समान अत्यंत दुःख के कारण व्याकुल और अचेत हो रहे थे। अतः वे उस परम सौभाग्यवती देवी से इस प्रकार बोले - 'देवी! यदि आप हम पर कृपा करें, तो दृष्टि पाकर क्षत्रियों का यह समूह लौट जाएगा। थोड़ी देर विश्राम करके हम सब पापी लोग एक साथ यहाँ से चले जाएँगे।'॥ 27-28॥
Those Kshatriyas were at that time deprived of the sight of their eyes and were like a fire with extinguished flames, being restless and unconscious due to extreme sorrow. So they spoke to that very fortunate Goddess in this manner - 'Devi! If you are kind to us, then after getting the sight, this group of Kshatriyas will return. After resting for a while, all of us sinners will go from here together.'॥ 27-28॥
