| अपने समान तेजस्वी एक हजार पुत्रों का वरदान पाकर कद्रू ने भी सोचा कि मेरी मनोकामना पूर्ण हो गई। वरदान से संतुष्ट होकर अपनी पत्नियों से ऐसा कहकर कि 'तुम दोनों पूरी तत्परता से अपने-अपने गर्भ की रक्षा करो', महातपस्वी कश्यपजी वन को चले गए॥12॥ |
