‘सुशिक्षित एवं विश्वसनीय कारीगरों ने भवन बनाते समय भांग, राल, जूट, बुल्वज (मोटे तिनकों वाली घास) और बाँस आदि सभी सामग्रियों का उपयोग किया होगा, घी से सींचा होगा और बड़ी कुशलता से इस सुन्दर भवन का निर्माण किया होगा। दुर्योधन के आदेश से यह मंदबुद्धि, पापी पुरोचन सदैव हमें (भवन सहित) उस समय जलाने के लिए घात लगाए बैठा रहता है, जब हम निश्चिंत होकर सो रहे होते हैं। यही उसकी इच्छा है। भीमसेन! परम बुद्धिमान विदुरजी ने हम पर आने वाली विपत्ति को उसके वास्तविक रूप में जान लिया था; इसीलिए उन्होंने मुझे पहले ही सचेत कर दिया था। विदुरजी हमारे छोटे पिता हैं और सदैव हमारा कल्याण चाहते हैं। इसलिए स्नेहवश उन्होंने हम बुद्धिमानों को इस अशिव (अशुभ) भवन के विषय में, जिसे दुर्योधन के वश में दुष्ट कारीगरों ने कुशलतापूर्वक और गुप्त रूप से बनाया है, पहले ही सब कुछ बता दिया था।’॥15-19॥
‘The well-trained and trustworthy artisans, while constructing the house, must have used all the materials like hemp, resin, jute, bulvaj (grass with thick straws) and bamboo, watered with ghee and very skillfully constructed this beautiful building. This dull-witted, sinful Purochana, under the command of Duryodhan, is always lying in wait to burn us (along with the house) when we are sleeping in confidence. This is his wish. Bhimsena! The most intelligent Vidurji had understood the calamity that was coming upon us in its true form; that is why he warned me beforehand. Vidurji is our younger father and always wishes well for us. Therefore, out of affection, he explained to us wise people everything beforehand about this Asiva (inauspicious) house, which has been built skillfully and secretly by the evil artisans under the control of Duryodhan.'॥ 15-19॥
