पाण्डवेषु यथान्यायमन्येषु च कुरूद्वह।
वर्तमानो न मज्जेस्त्वं तथा कृत्यं समाचर॥ ९०॥
सर्वकल्याणसम्पन्नो विशिष्ट इति निश्चय:।
तस्मात् त्वं पाण्डुपुत्रेभ्यो रक्षात्मानं नराधिप॥ ९१॥
अनुवाद
हे कुरुश्रेष्ठ! तुम्हें भी इसी नीति का पालन करना चाहिए और पाण्डवों आदि के साथ उचित व्यवहार करना चाहिए। परन्तु ऐसा आचरण करना चाहिए कि तुम स्वयं दुःखों के सागर में न डूबो। सब लोग जानते हैं कि तुम कल्याण के सभी साधनों से युक्त और श्रेष्ठ हो; अतः हे राजन! तुम्हें पाण्डुपुत्रों से अपनी रक्षा करनी चाहिए॥90-91॥
O best of the Kurus! You should also follow this policy and behave appropriately with the Pandavas and others. But act in such a way that you yourself do not drown in the ocean of troubles. Everyone is sure that you are endowed with all the means of welfare and are the best of all; therefore, O lord of kings! You should protect yourself from the sons of Pandu.॥90-91॥
