दिवसान्ते परिश्रान्ता विहृत्य च कुरूद्वहा:॥ ५०॥
विहारावसथेष्वेव वीरा वासमरोचयन्।
खिन्नस्तु बलवान् भीमो व्यायम्याभ्यधिकं तदा॥ ५१॥

दिन के अन्त में जब जलक्रीड़ा समाप्त हो गई, तब भ्रमण से थके हुए, शुद्ध वस्त्राभूषणों से सुसज्जित तथा सुन्दर आभूषणों से विभूषित उन कौरवों के श्रेष्ठ वीरों ने उन क्रीड़ाभवनों में रात्रि बिताने का निश्चय किया। उस समय महाबली भीमसेन अत्यधिक परिश्रम के कारण अत्यन्त थक गए थे ॥50-51॥
