वृक्षमूलनिकेतो वा त्यक्तसर्वप्रियाप्रिय:।
न शोचन् न प्रहृष्यंश्च तुल्यनिन्दात्मसंस्तुति:॥ ९॥ |

| अथवा वृक्षों का आधार ही मेरा निवास होगा। मैं प्रिय और अप्रिय सभी प्रकार की वस्तुओं का त्याग कर दूँगा। न तो किसी के वियोग में शोक करूँगा, न किसी की प्राप्ति या मिलन में प्रसन्न होऊँगा। निन्दा और स्तुति दोनों ही मेरे लिए समान होंगी॥9॥ |
