I will endure the cold, heat and the force of the storm. I will not care for hunger and thirst and will dry up this body by performing difficult penances. I will stay in solitude and contemplate on the Self. I will sustain my life on raw (roots and tubers etc.) and ripe (fruits etc.). I will satisfy the gods and ancestors with wild fruits and roots, water and chanting of mantras.
