अनुवाद
वृन्दावन में शुद्ध भक्ति जम्बू नदी में स्वर्ण कणों के समान है। वृन्दावन में व्यक्तिगत इन्द्रियतृप्ति का लेशमात्र भी नहीं है। इस भौतिक जगत में ऐसे शुद्ध प्रेम का प्रचार करने के लिए ही श्री चैतन्य महाप्रभु ने पिछला श्लोक लिखा है और उसका अर्थ समझाया है।
"Pure devotion in Vrindavan is like a drop of gold in the Jambu River. In Vrindavan, not even a trace of personal sense gratification exists. To promote such pure love in this material world, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu wrote and explained the previous verse.
तात्पर्य
यहाँ जिस पद का उल्लेख किया गया है वो है ४७ वां पद, शिकाष्टक का अष्टम पद।
