"मेरे प्रेमी की सेवा सुख का घर है और उनके साथ प्रत्यक्ष मिलन से भी अधिक मधुर है। भाग्य की देवी इसका प्रमाण हैं, क्योंकि यद्यपि वे निरंतर नारायण के हृदय में निवास करती हैं, फिर भी वे उनके चरणकमलों की सेवा करना चाहती हैं। इसलिए वे स्वयं को दासी मानती हैं और निरंतर उनकी सेवा करती हैं।"
"Serving my beloved is the abode of bliss and is sweeter than the direct union of the beloved. Lakshmiji is proof of this, for even while she constantly resides in the heart of Narayana, she desires to serve his feet. That is why she considers herself his servant and serves him constantly."
