"वृन्दावन की स्त्रियाँ कामवासनाओं की धूप में तपती हुई कुमुदिनी के समान हैं। किन्तु चन्द्रमारूपी कृष्ण उन्हें अपने करकमलों का रस प्रदान करके आनंदित कर देते हैं। हे मेरे प्रियतम, मेरा चन्द्रमा अब कहाँ है? मुझे उसका दर्शन कराकर मेरे प्राण बचाओ!
"The women of Vrindavan are like lilies heated by the sun of lust. But Krishna, like the moon, makes them cheerful by offering them nectar from his hands. O dear friend, where is that moon of mine now? Save my life by showing me his face!"
