"उस दिव्य, आनंदमय अमृत का एक कण ही कान का जीवन और आत्मा है, जो उस अमृत को चखने की आशा में जीवित रहने वाले चकोरे पक्षी के समान है। कभी-कभी, सौभाग्य से, पक्षी उसका स्वाद ले लेता है, लेकिन कभी-कभी दुर्भाग्य से वह उसे चख नहीं पाता और इसलिए प्यास से लगभग मर जाता है।"
