"यद्यपि कृष्ण के होठों का रस गोपियों की अनन्य संपत्ति है, फिर भी बांसुरी, जो एक तुच्छ छड़ी मात्र है, बलपूर्वक उस अमृत का पान कर रही है और गोपियों को भी उसे पीने के लिए ज़ोर-ज़ोर से आमंत्रित कर रही है। बांसुरी की तपस्या और सौभाग्य की कल्पना कीजिए! बड़े-बड़े भक्त भी बांसुरी के बाद कृष्ण के होठों का रस पीते हैं।
"Although the nectar from Krishna's lips is the sole treasure of the gopis, this insignificant, stick-like flute is forcefully drinking that nectar and loudly inviting the gopis to drink it as well. Just look at the power of this flute's austerity and good fortune! Even great devotees drink the nectar only after the flute has drunk the nectar from Krishna's lips."
