श्री चैतन्य महाप्रभु की कृपा से उन्हें प्रेमोन्मत्तता के लक्षण अनुभव हुए—आँसू, कम्पन और स्वर का लड़खड़ाना। उनकी आँखें आँसुओं से भर गईं और गला रुँध गया, जिससे वे श्रीमद्भागवत का पाठ न कर सके।
By the grace of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, he would exhibit symptoms of love—tears, trembling, and speech impediment. His eyes would fill with tears, his throat would become choked, and he would be unable to recite the Srimad Bhagavatam.
