अनुवाद
“‘महान ऋषिगण योग साधना और श्वास-प्रश्वास को नियंत्रित करके मन और इंद्रियों पर विजय प्राप्त करते हैं। इस प्रकार योग में लीन होकर, वे अपने हृदय में परमात्मा का दर्शन करते हैं और अंततः निराकार ब्रह्म में प्रवेश करते हैं। किन्तु भगवान के शत्रु भी केवल भगवान का चिंतन करके उस पद को प्राप्त कर लेते हैं। किन्तु, व्रज की देवियाँ, गोपियाँ, कृष्ण के सौन्दर्य से आकृष्ट होकर, उन्हें और उनकी सर्प-समान भुजाओं को आलिंगन करने के लिए तत्पर थीं। इस प्रकार गोपियों ने अंततः भगवान के चरण-कमलों के रस का आस्वादन किया। इसी प्रकार, हम उपनिषदवासी भी गोपियों के पदचिन्हों पर चलकर उनके चरण-कमलों के रस का आस्वादन कर सकते हैं।”
"Great sages conquer their minds and senses through yoga practice and pranayama. Thus, by engaging in yoga, they visualize the Supreme Being within their hearts and ultimately enter the impersonal Brahman. However, even the enemies of the Supreme Personality of Godhead attain this state simply by contemplating Him. However, the Vraja-nanganas, or gopis, attracted by Krishna's beauty, desired to embrace him and his serpent-like arms. Thus, they ultimately tasted the nectar of the Lord's feet. Similarly, we, the Upanishads, can follow in the footsteps of the gopis and taste the nectar of Krishna's feet."
