"भगवान विष्णु की मूल शक्ति श्रेष्ठ या आध्यात्मिक है, और जीव वास्तव में उसी श्रेष्ठ शक्ति से संबंधित है। लेकिन एक और शक्ति है, जिसे भौतिक शक्ति कहते हैं, और यह तीसरी शक्ति अज्ञान से भरी है।"
"Lord Vishnu's original energy is superior, that is, spiritual. The living entity is actually related to this superior energy; but there is also another energy, called the material energy. This third energy is full of ignorance."
