"मेरे प्यारे दोस्तों, ज़रा देखो तो! श्रीकृष्ण किस तरह वसन्त ऋतु का आनंद ले रहे हैं! गोपियाँ उनके प्रत्येक अंग को आलिंगन कर रही हैं, वे मानो प्रेम के साक्षात् स्वरूप हैं। अपनी दिव्य लीलाओं से वे समस्त गोपियों और समस्त सृष्टि को अनुप्राणित कर रहे हैं। अपने कोमल नीले-काले हाथों और पैरों से, जो नीले कमल पुष्पों के समान हैं, उन्होंने कामदेव के लिए एक उत्सव रचा है।"
