जंगल से इकट्ठा किए गए विभिन्न प्रकार के पालक, कंदमूल और फलों से सब्ज़ियाँ बनाई जाती थीं, और कोई दाल को मसलकर बड़ा और बड़ी बनाता था। इस प्रकार ब्राह्मण सभी प्रकार के भोजन तैयार करते थे।
