मंत्रोच्चार से सभी अशुभताएँ दूर हो जाने के बाद, भगवान का स्नान-अनुष्ठान प्रारंभ हुआ। सर्वप्रथम भगवान को खूब तेल से मालिश की गई, जिससे उनका शरीर अत्यंत चमकदार हो गया।
