जब रूप गोस्वामी ने सुना कि श्री चैतन्य महाप्रभु गंगा के किनारे वाले मार्ग से प्रयाग गए हैं, तो रूप और उनके भाई अनुपम भगवान से मिलने के लिए उसी रास्ते गए।
