"बिना किसी हिचकिचाहट के, पूर्ण विश्वास के साथ भगवान कृष्ण की अनन्य शरण ग्रहण करनी चाहिए, बुरी संगति त्याग देनी चाहिए और यहाँ तक कि चारों वर्णों और चारों आश्रमों के नियमों की भी उपेक्षा करनी चाहिए। अर्थात्, मनुष्य को समस्त भौतिक आसक्ति का त्याग कर देना चाहिए।"
