"जब जरासंध आदि राजा धनुष-बाण उठाकर मुझे शिशुपाल को दान में देने के लिए तैयार खड़े थे, तब उन्होंने मुझे उनके बीच से बलपूर्वक छीन लिया, जैसे सिंह बकरियों और भेड़ों का अपना भाग छीन लेता है। अतः उनके चरणकमलों की धूल अजेय सैनिकों का मुकुट है। वे चरणकमल, जो लक्ष्मी के आश्रय हैं, मेरी पूजा के पात्र हों।"
"When Jarasandha and the other kings, raising their bows and arrows, were about to offer me to Shishupala, he forcibly pulled me from among them, just as a lion takes its share from among sheep and goats. Therefore, the dust of his feet is the crown of invincible soldiers. May those feet, the shelter of Goddess Lakshmi, be the object of my worship."
