"हे वृन्दावनवासियों के दुःख दूर करने वाले प्रभु! हे समस्त स्त्रियों के नायक! हे प्रभु, अपनी मधुर, मृदु मुस्कान से अपने भक्तों का अभिमान नष्ट करने वाले! हे सखा! हम आपकी दासियाँ हैं। कृपया हमारी मनोकामनाएँ पूर्ण करें और हमें अपना मनोहर कमल मुखमण्डल दिखाएँ।"
O Lord, O remover of the sufferings of the inhabitants of Vrindavan! O leader of all women! O Lord, who destroys the pride of your devotees with your gentle and sweet smile! O friend! We are your maidservants. Please fulfill our wishes and grant us the darshan of your charming lotus face."
तात्पर्य
कृष्ण और गोपियों के रास नृत्य के सम्बन्ध में इस श्लोक को श्रीमद् भागवतम (10.31.6) से उद्धृत किया गया है। जब कृष्ण नृत्य के दौरान अपने साथियों से गायब हो गए, तो गोपियों ने कृष्ण से वियोग में इस तरह गाया।
