कृष्ण-लीला में भगवान का रंग श्यामवर्ण है। मुख में बाँसुरी लिए वे ग्वालबाल के समान आनन्द लेते हैं। अब वही पुरुष गौर वर्ण में प्रकट हुए हैं, कभी ब्राह्मण का वेश धारण करते हैं, तो कभी संन्यास धारण करते हैं।
In the Krishna Leela, the Lord is dark-skinned. He plays the flute, reveling in the joy of a cowherd boy. Now, this same person, wearing fair skin, sometimes performs the Leela as a Brahmin and sometimes as a Sanyasi.
