सेइ शास्त्रे कहे , - प्रवृत्ति - निवृत्ति - मार्ग - भेद ।
निवृत्ति - मार्गे जीव - मात्र - वधेर निषेध ॥156॥

कुरान के अनुसार, उन्नति के दो मार्ग हैं - भोग-प्रवृत्ति बढ़ाकर और भोग-प्रवृत्ति घटाकर। आसक्ति-निवृत्ति मार्ग में, पशु-हत्या निषिद्ध है।
According to the Quran, there are two paths to progress: strengthening the tendency toward enjoyment and reducing it. The path of reducing attachment (the path of renunciation) prohibits the killing of animals.
