अथ तापसाः —
भक्तिर् मुक्त्यैव निर्विघ्नेत्य् आत्त-युक्त-विरक्तताः ।
अनुज्झित-मुमुक्षा ये भजन्ते ते तु तापसाः ॥३.१.१५॥
अनुवाद
तपस-शांत-भक्त: "तपस्या करने वाले वे लोग हैं जो मोक्ष की इच्छा को त्यागे बिना युक्त-वैराग्य का अभ्यास करते हुए भगवान की पूजा करते हैं, क्योंकि मोक्ष प्राप्त करने से भक्ति में आने वाली बाधाएं नष्ट हो जाती हैं।"
tapas-śanta-bhakta: "The ascetics are those who worship the Lord while practicing yukta-vairagya without giving up the desire for liberation, because by attaining liberation the obstacles to devotion are destroyed."
