दशाङ्गुलान्तरा स्याच् चेत् सा तार-मुख-रन्ध्रयोः ।
महानन्देति व्याख्याता तथा संमोहिनीति च ॥२.१.३७०॥
भवेत् सूर्यान्तरा सा चेत् तत आकर्षिणी मता ।
आनन्दिनी तदा वंशी भवेद् इन्द्रान्तरा यदि ॥२.१.३७१॥ |

| "जब मुख छिद्र और स्वरों के लिए प्रथम छिद्र के बीच की जगह दस अंगुल की हो, तो वंशी को महानन्दा (परम आनन्द) और सम्मोहिनी (मोहिनी) कहा जाता है। यदि जगह बारह अंगुल की हो, तो वंशी को आकर्षिणी (आकर्षित करने वाली) कहा जाता है। यदि जगह चौदह अंगुल की हो, तो वंशी को आनंदिनी (आनंद देने वाली) कहा जाता है।" |
