तत्रैव श्रीमद्-आदिराजोक्तौ (४.२०.२४) —
न कामये नाथ तद् अप्य् अहं क्वचिन्
न यत्र युष्मच्-चरणाम्बुजासवः ।
महत्तमान्तर्-हृदयान् मुख-च्युतो
विधत्स्व कर्णायुतम् एष मे वरः ॥१.२.३०॥ |

| इस विषय में महाराज पृथु भी कहते हैं [श्रीमद्भागवतम् 4.20.24 में]: "हे प्रभु, मैं आपके अस्तित्व में विलीन होने का वर नहीं चाहता, ऐसा वर जिसमें आपके चरणकमलों के अमृतमय पेय का अस्तित्व न हो। मुझे कम से कम दस लाख कानों का वर चाहिए, ताकि मैं आपके शुद्ध भक्तों के मुख से आपके चरणकमलों की महिमा सुन सकूँ।" |

| Maharaja Prithu also says on this subject [in Srimad Bhagavatam 4.20.24]: "O Lord, I do not want the boon of merging into Your existence, a boon that does not include the existence of the nectar-like drink of Your lotus feet. I want the boon of at least ten million ears, so that I can hear the glories of Your lotus feet from the mouths of Your pure devotees." |
