भगवान जी काला बादल जैसा दिखाई दे रहे थे। उन्होंने पीले रंग के वस्त्र पहन रखे थे, उनके कानों में कुंडल बिजली की तरह चमक रहे थे और उनके बाल उनके कंधों पर फैले हुए थे। उन्होंने फूलों की माला पहनी हुई थी और उनकी आंखें गुलाबी थीं। विश्व भर में निर्भयता प्रदान करने वाली अपनी मजबूत और गौरवशाली भुजाओं से, उन्होंने वासुकि को पकड़ लिया और मंदरा पर्वत को मथानी बनाकर समुद्र का मंथन करना शुरू कर दिया। जब वे इस प्रकार लगे हुए थे, तो वे इंद्रनील नामक एक सुंदर पर्वत की तरह दिखाई दे रहे थे।
The Lord appeared like a dark cloud. He was dressed in yellow clothes, His earrings were shining like lightning and His hair was spread over His shoulders. He was wearing a garland of flowers and His eyes were pink. With His strong and glorious arms, which give protection throughout the world, He caught hold of Vasuki and using Mount Mandara as the churning rod, He began to churn the ocean. When He was thus engaged He appeared like the beautiful mountain called Indraneel.
