इस प्रकार, हिरण्यकशिपु के सभी राक्षस सेवक प्रह्लाद महाराज के शरीर के कोमल भागों (मर्मस्थलों) पर अपने त्रिशूल से वार करने लगे। इन राक्षसों के चेहरे अत्यंत भयानक थे, उनके दाँत नुकीले थे और दाढ़ी व बाल तांबे के समान थे, जिससे वे अत्यंत भयावह दिखाई दे रहे थे। वे जोर-जोर से "उसे टुकड़े-टुकड़े कर दो। उसे छेद डाल दो।" चिल्लाते हुए प्रह्लाद महाराज पर वार करने लगे थे, जो शांति से बैठे परमेश्वर का ध्यान कर रहे थे।
Thus all the servant demons of Hiraṇyakaśipu began to attack the tender parts of Prahlāda Mahārāja's body with their tridents. The faces of these demons were very terrifying, their teeth were sharp, their beards and hair were like copper, and they all appeared very frightening. They began to attack Prahlāda Mahārāja, who was seated quietly meditating on the Supreme Personality of Godhead, by shouting loudly, "Tear him into pieces. Pierce him."
