हिरण्यकश्यप की कठोर तपस्या से व्याकुल और अत्यंत परेशान होकर सभी देवता अपने निवास स्थान छोड़कर ब्रह्मा जी के लोक पहुँचे और सृष्टिकर्ता को इस प्रकार निवेदन किया- "हे देवताओं के स्वामी, हे ब्रह्माण्ड के नायक, हिरण्यकश्यप की कठोर तपस्या के कारण उसके मस्तक से निकलने वाली अग्नि से हम अत्यधिक परेशान हैं और अपने लोकों में नहीं रह पा रहे हैं, इसलिए हम आपके पास आए हैं।"
Being scorched and extremely disturbed by the severe penance of Hiranyakshipu, all the demigods left their abode and went to the abode of Brahma where they informed the Creator thus - "O Lord of the demigods, O Lord of the universe, we are so disturbed by the fire emanating from the head of Hiranyakshipu due to his severe penance that we cannot reside in our abode, therefore we have come to you."
