Going upwards the soul enters the various worlds of fire, sun, day, evening, bright half, full moon, the period of the sun going north (uttaram) and the presiding deities of these. When he enters Brahmaloka, after enjoying life there for millions of years, finally his physical status ends. Then he acquires the subtle status, by which he acquires the causal status, which is the witness of all the previous states. On the destruction of this status he attains the pure status, in which he identifies himself with the Supreme Soul. Thus the soul becomes divine.
