काफी धन-संपत्ति वाले ब्राह्मण को भाद्रपद माह के कृष्ण पक्ष में पितरों को तर्पण करना चाहिए और आश्विन मास में महालया पर्व के अवसर पर पितरों के संबंधियों को तर्पण करना चाहिए।
A very wealthy Brahmin should offer sacrifices to the ancestors in the dark fortnight of the month of Bhadra. Similarly, sacrifices should be made to the relatives of the ancestors on the occasion of the Mahalaya festival* in the month of Ashwin.
