सायं प्रातरुपासीत गुर्वग्न्यर्कसुरोत्तमान् ।
सन्ध्ये उभे च यतवाग्जपन्ब्रह्म समाहित: ॥ २ ॥
अनुवाद
दिन और रात के मिलन के समय अर्थात् सुबह और शाम के वक्त उसे गुरु, अग्नि, सूर्यदेव और भगवान विष्णु के विचारों में डूब जाना चाहिए और गायत्री मंत्र का जाप करते हुए उनकी पूजा करनी चाहिए।
At the junction of day and night, i.e., in the morning and evening, he should remain absorbed in the thoughts of Guru, Agni, Sun God and Lord Vishnu and worship them by chanting the Gayatri Mantra.
