भवान्प्रजापते: साक्षादात्मज: परमेष्ठिन: ।
सुतानां सम्मतो ब्रह्मंस्तपोयोगसमाधिभि: ॥ ३ ॥

हे श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मण, आप स्वयं प्रजापति (ब्रह्मा) के पुत्र हैं। अपनी तपस्या, साधना और समाधि के कारण आप ब्रह्मा के समस्त पुत्रों में सर्वश्रेष्ठ माने जाते हैं।
O best of Brahmins, you are the direct son of Prajapati (Brahma). Due to your penance, yoga and meditation, you are considered the best among all the sons of Brahma.
