मनुष्य को इस भक्तिपूर्ण विष्णु-व्रत का पालन करना चाहिए और किसी अन्य कार्य में व्यस्त होने के लिए इससे विचलित नहीं होना चाहिए। उसे चाहिए कि प्रतिदिन ब्राह्मणों और उन विवाहित गृहणियों की पूजा करे जो अपने पति के साथ सुखपूर्वक रहती हैं। पूजा में उन्हें बचा हुआ प्रसाद, फूलों की माला, चंदन का लेप और आभूषण अर्पित करना चाहिए। पत्नी को विधि-विधानों के अनुसार अत्यंत भक्तिपूर्वक भगवान विष्णु की पूजा करनी चाहिए। उसके बाद भगवान विष्णु को शयन कराना चाहिए और उसके बाद प्रसाद लेना चाहिए। इस प्रकार पति और पत्नी पवित्र हो जाएँगे और उनकी सभी इच्छाएँ पूरी होंगी।
One should observe this devotional Vishnu-vrata and should not be distracted from its observance by being busy in some other work. He should worship the brahmanas and those fortunate women daily by offering them the remaining prasad, garlands of flowers, sandalwood and ornaments. The wife should worship Lord Vishnu with utmost devotion according to the prescribed rituals. Then she should put Lord Vishnu to sleep and then take the prasad. In this way the husband and wife will become pure and all their desires will be fulfilled.
