जो व्यक्ति किसी अन्य पुरुष को ठगकर उसकी स्त्री और बच्चों का उपभोग करता है, वह अंधतामिस्र नाम के नरक में जाता है। वहाँ पर उसकी हालत जड़ से कटे हुए वृक्ष के समान होती है। अंधतामिस्र में पहुँचने से पहले ही पापी प्राणी को अनेक कठिन यातनाएँ सहनी पड़ती हैं। ये यातनाएँ इतनी भयंकर होती हैं कि वह बुद्धि और दृष्टि दोनों खो बैठता है। इसी कारण से विद्वान लोग इस नरक को अंधतामिस्र कहते हैं।
The person who deceives another person and takes advantage of his wife and children gets a place in the hell called Andhatamisra. There his condition is like a tree cut from its roots. Before reaching Andhatamisra, the sinful person has to endure many difficult tortures. These tortures are so severe that he loses both his intelligence and vision. For this reason, intelligent people call this hell Andhatamisra.
