चराचरौको भगवन्महीध्र-
महीन्द्रबन्धुं सलिलोपगूढम् ।
किरीटसाहस्रहिरण्यशृङ्ग-
माविर्भवत्कौस्तुभरत्नगर्भम् ॥ ३० ॥
अनुवाद
एक विशाल पर्वत की तरह, भगवान सभी चल और अचल जीवों के लिए रहने का स्थान हैं। वे साँपों के मित्र हैं क्योंकि भगवान अनंत उनके मित्र हैं। जिस तरह एक पर्वत में हजारों सुनहरी चोटियाँ होती हैं, उसी तरह भगवान अनंत नाग के हजारों सुनहरे फनों के साथ दिखाई दे रहे थे; और जिस तरह एक पर्वत कभी-कभी रत्नों से भरा होता है, उसी तरह उनका दिव्य शरीर बहुमूल्य रत्नों से पूरी तरह से सजा हुआ था। एक पर्वत जिस तरह कभी-कभी समुद्र के पानी में डूबा रहता है, उसी तरह भगवान कभी-कभी प्रलय के जल में डूबे रहते हैं।
Like a huge mountain, the Lord stands as a shelter for all sentient and inanimate beings. He is a friend of snakes because Ananta Deva is their friend. Just as a mountain has thousands of golden peaks, so the Lord appeared with thousands of hoods of the Ananta serpent with golden crowns. Just as a mountain is sometimes covered with gems, His body was fully adorned with precious gems. Just as a mountain is sometimes submerged in the water of the ocean, so the Lord is sometimes submerged in the water of deluge.
