इत्यहं मुनिभि: पृष्टस्तत्त्वजिज्ञासुभिस्तदा ।
यदवोचमहं तेभ्यस्तदुद्धव निबोध मे ॥ २१ ॥

हे उद्धव, मुनिगण योग-पद्धति के सार को समझना चाहते थे, इसलिए उन्होंने मुझसे इस प्रकार प्रश्न किए। मैंने मुनियों से जो कहा था, उसे अब मुझसे सुनो।
O Uddhava, the sages were desirous of knowing the ultimate truth of the Yoga system, and so they asked me as follows. Now hear from me what I told the sages.
