राज्ञ: काशीपतेर्ज्ञात्वा महिष्य: पुत्रबान्धवा: ।
पौराश्च हा हता राजन् नाथ नाथेति प्रारुदन् ॥ २६ ॥
अनुवाद
हे राजन, जब लोगों ने पहचाना कि यह उनके राजा - काशी के स्वामी - का सिर है, तो उसकी रानियाँ, बेटे और अन्य रिश्तेदार, साथ ही शहर के सभी निवासी “हाय ! हम मारे गये ! हे स्वामी, हे स्वामी !” कह कर विलाप करने लगे ।
O King, when they recognized that it was the head of their king, the Lord of Kashi, his queens, sons, other relatives and all the inhabitants of the city began to cry, saying, "Alas! We are slain! O Lord, O Lord!"
