ब्राह्मण की सम्पत्ति कितनी भारी होती है, चाहे वो कितनी भी कम क्यों न हो और कोई अग्नि से भी तेजस्वी क्यों न हो! फिर उन राजाओं की क्या स्थिति होगी जो स्वयं को स्वामी मानकर उसका उपभोग करना चाहते हैं।
[Lord Krishna said] : How indigestible is the wealth of a brahmana, even if it be a mere fraction of it, and how can it be consumed by one who is more radiant than fire! Then what can be said about those kings who want to enjoy it, thinking themselves to be masters.
तात्पर्य
ब्राह्मण के धन को चुराकर तो तप, योग आदि से भी बलवान बने हुए पुरुष नहीं भोग सकते, फिर दूसरों की तो बात ही क्या है।
