श्रीकृष्ण गोपियों के साथ यमुना के तट पर गए, जहाँ बालू ठंडी हो रही थी और नदी की लहरों से हवा में कमल की खुशबू आ रही थी। वहाँ कृष्ण ने गोपियों को अपनी बाँहों में भर लिया और उन्हें गले लगाया। उन्होंने अपने नखूनों से उन्हें गुदगुदाते हुए, उनके साथ मज़ाक करते हुए, उन्हें तिरछी नज़रों से देखते हुए और उनके साथ हँसते हुए उनमें कामदेव को जगाया। इस तरह भगवान ने अपने खेलों का आनंद लिया।
Sri Krishna went to the banks of Yamuna with the gopis where the sand was getting cold and the air was filled with the fragrance of lotuses due to the touch of the river waves. There Krishna gathered the gopis in his arms and embraced them. He aroused Kamadev in the beautiful Vraj girls by touching their hands, hair, thighs, navels and breasts and pinching them with his nails in play, joking with them, looking at them with a side glance and laughing with them. In this way the Lord enjoyed his pastimes.
