एते यदा मत्सुहृदोस्तिलाप:
कृतास्तदा नष्टसमा व्रजौकस: ।
प्राणे गते वर्ष्मसु का नु चिन्ता
प्रजासव: प्राणभृतो हि ये ते ॥ १५ ॥
अनुवाद
अघासुर ने सोचा: यदि किसी तरह से मैं कृष्ण और उनके साथियों को अपने भाई और बहन की दिवंगत आत्माओं के लिए तिल और जल की अंतिम भेंट बना सकूं तो व्रजभूमि के सभी निवासी, जिनके लिए ये बालक प्राणों के तुल्य हैं, स्वतः ही मर जाएंगे। यदि प्राण नहीं रहेंगे तो फिर शरीर की क्या आवश्यकता है? परिणामस्वरूप अपने-अपने पुत्रों के मरने पर व्रज के सभी निवासी स्वतः ही मर जाएंगे।
Aghasur thought: If I can somehow make Krishna and his companions make the last offering of sesame seeds and water for the departed souls of my brother and sister, then all the residents of Vrajbhumi, for whom these children are like life, will die automatically. If there is no life, then what is the need of the body? Consequently, all the residents of Vraj will die automatically on the death of their sons.
