The concept of reincarnation (*samsara*) is often treated by modern skeptics as a comforting mythological belief system designed to soften the fear of mortality. Krishna explains that we are already experiencing reincarnation within our current lifespan: *dehino 'smin yatha dehe kaumaram yauvanam jara*—just as the soul continuously passes, within this single physical body, from childhood to youth and then to old age, the soul similarly passes into another body at the moment of death. Medical science confirms that every cell in the human body completely regenerates over a cycle of seven years; the physical body you possessed as an infant no longer exists physically today, yet your conscious identity has remained continuous. Reincarnation is simply the extension of this continuous regeneration beyond the breakdown of the final physical shell, driven by the soul's unfulfilled material desires.
