These universes endure for a lifespan of 311 trillion years (the duration of Brahma's life). At the end of this cycle, Maha-Vishnu inhales, and the entire material creation—including all physical elements and unliberated souls—is drawn back into His divine body, where it remains in a dormant state until the next exhalation. This grand, rhythmic cosmic breathing demonstrates that the material world is a temporary facility designed to allow souls to choose between material exploration or spiritual return.
